Social Changes Social Changes are very important in puberty because it gives the person a sense of identity and will help find who they want to be.
Independance - Girls are more likely to play by the rules than boys. Girls will still want to experiment and take risks but will keep it to a minimum. They will rely on themselves more and try to prove it to others ( like parents). This is all part of forming an identity and personality.
Responsibilities - When getting older a girl will look for more challenging responsiblities. They want to show others how mature they can be and hopefully get a bigger responsibility.
Friendships - will vary and change, you may find you like a group more than another or you may find that you have similarities with a different person. You must not take these changes personally, there is nothing that you can do to stop change.
Pressure Increase - girls tend follow one another like a flock of sheep. Girls are easily persauded to fit in to a particular group. Sometimes girls will feel as if they need to change who they are like their personalities in order to feel like they belong. You should chose a group who will accept you for who you are and you need to feel like you can be you.
Communication - will become very differnt. Girls will mostly communitate using social networking systems such as text messages or skype. It is important to keep your social life balanced and see friends face to face and over social networks.
Emotionalchanges Emotional changes is what parents don't look forward to in their daughters teenage years. Girls going through puberty will try to be more independent and rely on themselves more often. When looking for advice, girls may start asking their friends more than their parents. However, keep in mind - parents are family and they love you no matter how grouchy you may be.
Girls will tend to take situations more personally then they use too and feel like their opinion is necessary. They will have many miscommunications and misunderstandings and won't willingly admit they are wrong.
You might get mood swings and might not know why, but it is all because it is a side-affect from releasing hormones. Sometimes you will suddenly feel sad, angry, short tempered or confused.
You may also feel differently to the people you possibly used to hate - that's right, we are talking boys! You will begin to feel differently towards them and you will want to be around them more and naturally become curious and have desires for sex.
However , do not feel worried if you begin to develop an interest for the same gender. It is ok, and this is commonly known as homosexual or gay and is becoming more common with-in these generations.
